SF Quotes
" If your God is everywhere, if He is always watching, why should your people make houses to go to worship Him? Faced with an all-seeing, everywhere-being God, I would think what is needed is a place to hide. "Tad Williams, Caliban's Hour

| What AntiSF does |
In a nutshell, AntipodeanSF brings the 'other' briefly, and sometimes horribly, into view (as most good SF does). AntipodeanSF is devoted to the online publication of short-short science/speculative fiction stories (and occasionally other shorter material within that genre). AntipodeanSF online is archived by the National Library of Australia, and you are able to view past issues by visiting the library on the Internet. Visit the PANDORA archive section. Stories by Australian authors in AntiSF are indexed for scholarly access purposes by Austlit <www.austlit.edu.au>. Similarly, all stories by Australian authors are automatically entered for consideration into the yearly Aurealis Awards. AntipodeanSF intends to remain in publication for a long time to come. Please note that submission of cartoons, quips and very short reviews is also encouraged. AntipodeanSF is also soon to be produced in audio format, for broadcast on non-commercial radio/podcast. The best way to contact Ion, the editor, is via the contact page.

Daniel O'Malley ?Dear You, The body you are wearing used to be mine.? So begins the letter Myfanwy Thomas is holding when she awakes in a London park surrounded by corpses -- all wearing latex gloves (and startled expressions). With no memory of who she is or how she got there, the only way she can discover her identity and escape those who want to destroy her is to follow the instructions in a series of letters left behind by her former self. She learns that she is a Rook, a high-level operative in the Checquy, a secret government agency that protects the world against supernatural threats while keeping the populace in the dark. In her quest to save herself and unmask a traitor, Myfanwy must learn to harness her own rare, potentially deadly supernatural ability, and thwart a conspiracy more vast than she could ever have imagined. |
